These sugestions are my personal opinion from long term experience and research. I am not a doctor, aesthetician or specialist in any way.
Oh my goodness your skin is glowing! That phrase is one of the ultimate compliments you can get from ANYONE, especially when you are not pregnan!
From a young age, we've all been taught to take care of our skin and to be sure we wash our faces. For the average human, you didn’t take these suggestions seriously until you were in your late teens or early twenties. For some, it wasn’t until your late twenties. But, whatever age you are it's still possible to get that glowing skin.
One of the most used phrases is, drink more water, and I must say that is an accurate statement to make. Hydration is the key to all greatness in life. You can't stop me when I am fueled up! But in all seriousness hydration is step one!
Jeanine Downie, M.D says "Lack of hydration makes your complexion dull and even accentuates wrinkles. Along with hydration, I want to add eating properly. Your outsides are going to immolate what’s inside. If you aren’t taking care of yourself properly and eating the right foods it's going to show on your skin: dullness, dryness, and breakouts are all solutions to a poor diet. So, make sure you have your protein and your fruits and veggies!
Vitamin C
Vitamin C has been labeled as one of the best anti-aging ingredients. It has brightening powers, hydrating powers, and it helps even your skin tone. Using a Vitamin C serum is a great way to ensure that you are getting all these great benefits on the skin! {1}
Hyaluronic Acid
When looking for moisturizers or serums try finding products that have hyaluronic acid as one of their main ingredients. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced by your body and it can be found in eye drops, supplements, and in several moisturizers and topical serums. Its main function is to retain water!{2}
Exfoliate
To help reduce that dull look you should try exfoliating 2-3 times a week. You grow new skin daily! Exfoliating regularly and properly can improve your skin's texture, brightness and help stimulate the production of new cells and collagen.
Working Out
You don’t have to become a bodybuilder, but an avid walker could do the trick. If you are not the type of person to hit the gym every day that’s ok as long as you are taking the time to move around and get your heart rate up a little should be enough. Exercising is a way to improve your blood circulation which helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin. Plus a little sweat never hurt anyone.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! You hear all the time make sure you wear your sunscreen and it's imperative that you do, no matter your skin tone if you want to have not only glowing skin but healthy skin. Sunscreen protects our skin from UV rays, sun damage, and it prevents amateur aging. Allowing your skin to look youthful and glowing longer!
